New Jersey Home Inspection Licensing RequirementsQuick Fact: New Jersey has several requirements in place to receive a home inspection license. There are two different options for licensing: 1. From an education standpoint a person must be a high school graduate, have 180 hours of course study which include 40 hours of unpaid home inspections in the presence of a licensed New Jersey home inspector. Additionally, all license candidates must pass a national home inspector exam, called the National Home Inspectors Examination which is given by the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors. - or - 2.
